Hunters Of Dune and Sandworms Of Dune by Brian Herbert and Kevin J. Anderson

Hunters of Dune was good, but it ended abrubtly in the middle of the story and the sequel, Sandworms Of Dune, wasn't published for another year. I would suggest reading the books together and in order. Pretty good but not as strong as previous Dune efforts.

The Letter of Marque by Patrick O'Brian

Great, wonderful, you name it. This is series is great and this book is a highlight.

The Game by Laurie R. King

Quiet good. Holmes and Russel go abroad to India.

Book 12 of 20 1/2 - Outstanding. Anticipating the next.

The Far Side Of The World by Patrick O'Brian

Great. These books are consistent sources of excellent entertainment, and this is one of the best.

Executive Power by Vince Flynn

If you can take all the macho BS and look at it as funny, this is a pretty good book with a good plot line and interesting characters. The main character, Mitch Rapp, well I'll let the writing speak for itself - "he's a rugged man that other men just naturally folow", "the military personel in the war room listened to Rapp because he'd seen action, infact he'd probably killed more men then all of them combined" - and it never stops.

Treason's Harbour by Patrick O'Brian

The strength's of the previous installments continue on, fresh and familiar.

Dead Heat by Dick Francis

I savored this book, reading as slowly as I could knowing it could be the last Dick Francis novel. It was enjoyable though not recommendable to anyone who isn’t fond of Francis’ characters. Not as good as usual but nonetheless still wonderful to be reading him again.

The Story Of B by Daniel Quinn

This is one of the best books I've ever listened to. This was at least the third time I listened to it and it holds up very well over time. Top 10.

Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows by J. K. Rowling

The 7th year of Harry Potter is the best book since the early years. It is too long and drags on, but the last few chapters we're quite good. The Epilogue was a little silly. If this book had been 300 to 400 pages shorter it would have been something.

Robert Ludlum's The Bourne Betrayal by Eric Van Lustbader

An OK listen, but it didn't compare to its predecessors. Side note, saw the Bourne Ultimatem last night and it was great.

The Last Coyote by Michael Connelly

Pretty good read.

I have no idea if this story even had a plot or a begining or end, but it sure was a nice trip.

Baldacci is usually pretty good, but Hour Game is just OK.

Killing Floor by Lee Child

First of six Jack Reacher thrillers. It was pretty good, read it from Oahu to Kawai.

The Fotune Of War by Patrick O'Brian

Episode six keeps on miandering along as enjoyable as its predecessors.

Stormy Weather by Carl Hiaasen

Entertaining but not up to the quality of CH's best e.g. Skinny Dip or Skin Tight.

Locked Rooms by Laurie R. King

Good. The 8th book in the Mary Russel series. Slowly unfolded story of Mary Russel's attempt to remember her childhood, with the help of her husband, Sherlock Holmes.

Desolation Island by Patrick O'Brian

Book 5 continues on the consistent path of great listens.

Blood Hollow by William Kent Krueger

Nothing special, but and enjoyable listen.

The Mauritius Command by Patrick O'Brian

This is the 5th book of 20 and they've all been enjoyable thus far. Patrick Tull's slow narration of these books meanders with Jack Aubrey's travels and takes us on a wonderful adventure. Even the 405 at rush hour is OK when listening.

Very good thriller. 600 pages but a fast read.

A funny yarn, light with good dialog.

H. M. S. Surprise by Patrick O'Brian

Patrick O'Brian is consistent, another very fine book (number 3 of 20 or so). Excellent series.

Consent to Kill by Vince Flynn

Flynn writes ridiculous over the top macho he man malarkey – that said, this is a very entertaining thriller.

C- I like Martini's books but this one was pretty boring and not very believable.

Banker by Dick Francis

I'm a sucker for anything Dick Francis writes and this was a really good DF book. I hope there are still some I haven't read.

Freakonomics: A Rogue Economist Explores the Hidden Side of Everything

Good book, a little wordy and drawn out but some fresh ideas and good tools to analyze data.

Master and Commander by Patrick O'Brian

Very good. Master and Commander is a historical naval novel by Patrick O'Brian. First published in 1970 it is first in the Aubrey-Maturin series of stories of Captain Jack Aubrey and the naval surgeon Stephen Maturin.

Cassondra Compact by Robert Ludlum

Good. John Smith fights to stop the creation of a deadly virus from the space shuttle.

Angels And Demons by Dan Brown

Very good. Similar to the DaVinci code in many ways, but a good read.
